Right around being forced into piano at age 10, I also discovered that I also liked how cicadas sound from underwater and that car horns sound like trains when blown under concrete trestles. Wrote and performed soundtrack and did sound design for this comedy, Midnight Chicken, written and directed by Gabrielle Demeestere about a rural mom in the big city. The musical theme accentuates Mom's inadvertent mischief and oblivious nuisance.
Performed sound design for this short black & white MOS, The Last Cigarette, written and directed by Gabrielle Demeestere. With almost no useable on-site recordings, all sound effects were re-created, many from scratch.
Co-wrote and recorded this record in various kitchens and living rooms using only four mics and a computer over a winter. Seens ended up being a great representation of Polite Sleeper with obvious DIY roots combined with the tougher scales.
